Two new VG-88 scored 2-yr-olds at Molenkamp Holsteins

Truus 3465 EX-93, foundation cow behind the classified Dynamic Josje 6

The Dutch Massia and Truus cow families were recently suppliers of the highest scored milking heifers during a classification day at Molenkamp Holsteins. The two young, 2-year-old dairy cows scored with VG-88 and were therefore 'frontrunners' of the classified group of in total 28 cows.

With scores of 83 to 88 points, this classification was definitely  for Molenkamp Holsteins one of the highlights of this year! Highest re-scored cow was Dynamic Konny 1, a third calf Aurora Mitchell daughter which goes back to Batke Outside Kora EX-94, the Junior 2-yr-old B&W European Champion of 2006. Konny 1 scored VG-88 with EX-90 F&L. A result from the same partnership of Dynamic Holsteins and Jerseys, namely Dynamic Josje 6 (Dempsey x Silver) was one of the two highest scored 2-yr-olds of this day. Josje 6 traces back to the durable, EX-93 Mapel Wood Ideal daughter Truus 3465 and classified VG-88, where she received a maximum score of VG-89 for both Dairy Strength and Udder!  Her dam Josje 1 EX-90 was successful last summer during the Dairy Fair Marienwaerdt where she won 2nd place in the outstanding Production class!

Maternal sister: Dynamic Josje 3 VG-87 (Moovin RC x Silver)

Dynamic Espot 6062 Red, a daughter of the popular type sire Lindenright Moovin RDC, was awarded with a maximum score of VG-89 for Dairy Strength and came to a total score of VG-87. She comes from Van Wichen's Molenkamp Grietje family.

5th dam Espot 6062 Red: Molenkamp Grietje 28 RDC VG-87 (s. Jocko) 

With a fantastic VG-88 and MAX. VG-89 for Frame, Type and Udder, the first lactation Arino Red Molenkamp Massia 5986 Red was one of the two highest scored 2-yr-old milkers. Via her VG-85 Brekem RDC dam she traces back to RZH Destry Massia-Red VG-85, which was sold as a heifer calf by Marco Hellwig (RZH Holsteins) to Molenkamp Holsteins. Under the flag of the van Wichen family, the proven bulls Molenkamp Colour P Red and Calero P Red were bred from their purchase Massia-Red VG-85. From the well-known Anky branch of the Massias, Co-Op Aardem Subzero daughter Molenkamp Anky 156 was good for VG 87 points. This very influential family has already produced several good brood cows, including - the most famous - Molenkamp Anky 4 EX-90!

Another high score of VG-87 was for the red Bonhill Warsi 19 RDC EX-90 offspring Molenkamp Warsi 8 Red (by Bigstar-Red). Her great-granddam is De Volmer Warsi RDC VG-86, dam of De Volmer Brasil RDC & Payball Red. From another very well-known cow family, namely that of the American Glenridge Citation Roxy EX-97, a first lactation Vh River Ramsey is milking at Van Wichen. This Molenkamp Eva 9 hails via great-granddam De Rith Cinderella 23A EX-90 from the well-known Dutch branch that was further developped at Giessen Holsteins. The Ramsey daughter was scored with VG-87.
