Drouner K&L Augustus P Red is breaking through as a great proven global sire
Recently, three cows from the Drouner Holsteins herd were re-scored and achieved new excellent scores. Among them was Drouner K&L Aiko 1557 RDC, the Silky Red dam of the new no. two daughter-proven bull of the Netherlands and Flanders!
Drouner K&L Aiko 1557 RDC comes from a pedigree that has made a significant impact both nationally and internationally. She traces back to KHW Goldwyn Aiko RDC EX-91, a direct daughter of Kamps-Hollow Durham Altitude RDC EX-95 and a half-sister to KHW Regiment Apple-Red EX-96, among others. Aiko 1557 RDC was flushed by her owners, Drouner Holsteins and GenHotel, using the sire of sons Caudumer Solitair P Red with the hope of breeding a polled and red descendant. This move was successful, leading to the birth of Drouner K&L Augustus P Red. His journey continued to Cogent in England, where he was and still is marketed worldwide. In the December 2024 proof run, Augustus P Red rose to become the second Red Holstein proven bull for NVI. He also performed strongly on a global scale, achieving 2650 TPI (#3 R&W Polled), 138 RZG (#3 R&W Polled) & 572 PLI (#1 R&W Polled). Notably, Aiko 1557 RDC improved her score from VG-89 to EX-90, with her feet & legs EX-93!
Drouner K&L Aiko 1557 RDC now EX-90
The sixth-calver Drouner AJDH Aiko 1288 Red, another member of the Aiko family, was once again presented to the pedigree inspectors. This notable daughter of Olympian RDC from the Albring family has made multiple appearances in the show ring throughout her life, just like her renowned daughters: Drouner Aiko 1445 Red (VG-89), Drouner Aiko 1718 Red (VG-88), and Drouner Aiko 1816 Red (VG-89). During last month's national show, the high-producing Aiko 1288 Red was highlighted in the production class. She maintained her excellent EX-91 score and has now achieved an outstanding EX-95 for type!
In addition the bull dam and the excellent high producing Olympian, Drouner Anna 1709 RDC, a third-calf daughter of Kenmore Triple Crown-Red, also received her first excellent score. Last month, this young dairy cow placed third in her category at the HHH Show. She earned an overall score of EX-91, with EX-92 MS.
