Poppe Kanu 2369 P Red: A promising new generation

Poppe Kanu 2369 P Red, a well-uddered daughter of Launch PP Red from the Poppe herd, was recently photographed and calved at the end of October at just 2.02 years old. With a rich family history, Kanu 2369 P Red is expected to become a new icon at Poppe Holsteins and is already contracted by an AI-stud as well.

Her first milk recording indicates a projected 305-day production of 8,800 kg of milk, with 4.53% fat and 3.80% protein. Given the strong reputation of the Wilder K cow family and the potential within the Poppe herd, this young 2-yr-old is expected to continue thriving. Her dam, Poppe Kanu 2037 RDC VG-85 (VG-88 FR), is a second-calver Pitcher-Red, linking Kanu 2369 P Red to the renowned brood cow Wilder K41 RDC VG-87 (by Board). Currently, K41 RDC is in her dry period and preparing to calve for the fourth time, with an impressive lifetime production total of 78,712 kg of milk, boasting 4.57% fat and 3.69% protein! The VG-87 Board daughter, K41 RDC, has produced notable offspring, including Poppe Kayne (#4 Red & White NVI proven), K&L Palace Red, Allegro, and bull dam Poppe Kanu 1980 P Red VG-86.

Currently, Kanu 2369 P Red is on track to follow in her granddam's successful footsteps. This 2-yr-old shows exceptionally fine legs, average height, a good attached udder, and adequate frame width—all features the well-known Wilder K family is celebrated for!
