JU Holsteins recently celebrated the impressive classification of two cows, aged thirteen and eleven years, from the Lonia cow family. This achievement highlights the durability and strength of this lineage!
The thirteen-year-old Scientific Destry daughter, JU Lonia 167 Red, reached the remarkable milestone of 100,000 kg of milk produced last year. This cow has entered the national show ring several times, earning the title of 'Senior Honorable Mention' three times. In the most recent classification moment, she received an EX-93 score for Frame and Type, which could be considered equivalent to her total score of EX-92.
The common link between the outstanding Lonia 167 Red and the newly classified JU Lonia 200 s. JU Louise Bori is is JU Lonia 114 VG-87. JU Lonia 114 is the dam of the EX-92 Destry and the third dam of Lonia 200. With an impressive score of EX-90, Lonia 200 becomes the 22nd excellent cow on the JU Holsteins farm. Her daughter, JU Lonia 254 Red, is an EX-92 Lord Red P and was recognized for having the Best Udder in her class at the 2022 HHH show.
