Great round of scores for Sudena and Wilskracht Holsteins
Willkracht Miley 1593 Red is the highest scored 2-yr-old with VG-88
Sudena and Wilskracht Holsteins recently had a successful classification round, achieving an average score of 84.5 over 14 2-yr-olds. The top score was awarded to a first calver Wilskracht Warhero-Red daughter, which the breeding enthusiasts co-own.
After the dairy farm where Emiel Willems used to work ended, several of his favorite cows from his Wilskracht prefix found a new home at Sudena Holsteins. The Mensink and Willems families will continue to work with these cow families together. One notable success is the VG-88 classified Wilskracht Miley 1593 Red, a Warhero-Red (Goal-Red x Warsi 879 Red EX-93) from the German WR Monroe cow family. In October, this maternal-sister of the AI bull WR Centrum achieved a remarkable 2nd position at the Twente Aftersummer Show.
Additionally, Sudena Lieke 6 Red, an early lactating 3STAR OH Ranger Red daughter, made a strong impression. The line-bred Lieke 6 was awarded with a score of VG-86 (VG-87 MS). She traces back eight generations to Golden-Oaks Mark Prudence EX-95, who is the common ancestor with her sire, Ranger-Red. The granddam of the current no. 1 NVI sire, Rose RDC VG-89, is still with the Mensink family!
The well-known Warsi cow family, from Emiel Willems, welcomed the classification score of Luster-P daughter Wilskracht Warsi 1624 PP RDC. This correctly built homozygous polled cow is descended via VG-89 Jaffa P-Red x VG-89 Jacuzzi-Red from the renowned bull dam and show diva Wilskracht Warsi 879 EX-93 s. Bram! Her maternal-brother, Wilskracht Speedway Red PP, is stationed at KI Samen.
Additionally, two daughters of sire Sudena Roderick (Gonzales x Rose RDC VG-89), bred by Mensink, have achieved a score of VG-85: Sudena Marit 11 and Sudena Lena 306. Roderick recently celebrated his first daughter proven index during the December evaluation. With 189 NVI, he ranks in the top 50 of the Red NVI list.
