KNS Holsteins' well-known D-cowfamily delivers again a real showdiva

The 'KNS D' family of KNS Holsteins can no longer be ignored in the European Holstein world. Where bulls such as KNS Barolo, KNS Belsan, KNS Serge Red, RUW Mail P RDC and KNS Scofield P Red worked (and still work) their way up on the male side, is on the female side the D-family booking considerable successes both at genomics breeding and in the field of great showtype!
KNS Dorflady, the EX-92 Robthom Integrity which is the start of the success of this cow family for Niermann, has produced several generations of high scored cows. She has bred daughter KNS Dorflady EX-92 (s. Ramos), multiple bull dam KNS Dorfschöne EX-90 (by Mars Yorick) and also produced Comestar Lee daughter KNS Daylight EX-90. Via Daylight's EX-91 Braedale Goldwyn daughter KNS Daybright, we arrive via Man-O-Man x Shamrock at the well-known brood cow KNS Dalista VG-87, which is the dam of proven sires KNS Cicero and KNS Barabo. She also rolled out the red carpet for many high-scoring offspring, when it comes to the German index RZG, and female offspring which have been consigned to different European sales over the recent years. For example, in 2021 KNS Derbytime Red (Sputnik RDC x Gywer RDC x Styx Red) was top seller of the VOST Select Sale 8 and sold to De Oosterhof and GenHotel.

Back to Ramos daughter Dorflady EX-92. During her lifetime she produced more than 10 offspring sired by different sires such as Long-Lang Oman Oman, Mountfield Ssi Dcy Mogul, Mars Yorick and Lirr Drew Dempsey. In particular, the combination with Dempsey has led to a very successful result. Dorflady's daughter KNS Dornröschen was sold to a dairy farmer in the German Masterrind area. There she was already scored VG-88 as a three-year-old and even won the Junior 2-Yr-Old Championship at the Masterrind Konvent in 2014. Dornröschen delivered a few very beautiful female offspring for her owner. One of them is the well-known German Maple-Downs-I G W Atwood-daughter OHB Dream, which grew into an impressive EX-93 dairy cow. In addition, Dream EX-93 won several major show titles during her life, with the highlights being Junior 2-Yr-Old B&W Champion at the German Dairy Show 2019 and Intermediate B&W Champion at the Schau der Besten in 2020. In early June 2023 Dornröschen's 3.5-year-old Col Dg Crushtime daughter OHB Daria also appeared at the German Dairy Show 2023. The fantastically built and well-uddered Daria managed to get the leading position in her class with young cows in 2nd lactation.
The cow family of brood cow KNS Dorflady EX-92 is still very popular among sire analysts and breeders, also due to the fact that this family is able to breed strong conformation animals with high indexes. And the D family has even managed to create many polled offspring by now!
