Once again a great classification result brought another honor to Neppelenbroek's name. Last week, the third lactation Maple-Downs-I G W Atwood daughter Hellen 1, was able to move up her classification score. With this stunning score, Atwood Hellen 1 is the fourth excellent generation from the Jimm Holstein Hellen cow family!
The Atwood daughter is a direct daughter of the Senior Champion of the Friesian Veekeuring Balk 2022, namely Mogul Hellen. This fantastic dairy cow was purchased as an embryo from the Hellen family of JIMM Holsteins, in addition to winning the championship title last year, the Mogul was also able to upgrade to an excellent score after her victory.
Mogul Hellen EX-90 produced several offspring for owners Neppelenbroek and Koevar Holsteins, including the Atwood daughter Hellen 1. After calving for the 3rd time in October 2022, she was now in optimal condition to receive the excellent committee of the Dutch herdbook. This resulted in a nice score of VG-87 FR EX-92 DS EX-91 MS VG-89 FL and total score of EX-90. Not only is Atwood Hellen 1 EX-90 the fourth generation excellent in a row, but with this score the Hellen cow family delivered its 7th VG/EX generation. Also with an average 305-day production of 12,398 kgs of milk over three lactations, the JIMM. Holstein Hellen 585 offspring - of which is Hellen 1 EX-90 only 3 generations removed from - turns out to represent her family very well!
