The new Miss Betuwe 2025 is..

The De Jonge family, owners of Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins, and their partners celebrated a resounding success at the 19th Bloesemshow last weekend. The title of Miss Betuwe has been awarded to the Willem's-Hoeve stable several times, but this year was particularly special. Willem's-Hoeve Jmw Applause 26 Red, a young red Moovin RC daughter, has become the youngest, red titleholder to date. She is co-owned by Metz, Nuij, and De Jong.

This impressive VG-89 Moovin RC daughter has already accomplished significant achievements since her first calving in September 2023. Notably, Jmw Applause 26 Red was named Junior Res. Champion R&W during HHH 2023, and later received the title of Junior Champion at the Avondbloesemshow in 2024. Applause 26 Red VG-89Max is a direct descendant of GHH Applause Red s. Mr. Danielle Devour RC, granddaughter of Regiment Apple Red. Applause Red was purchased in 2020 at the Masterrind Exclusive Sale by Willem's-Hoeve and GenHotel, where she subsequently produced several red offspring, including this remarkable Moovin RC daughter, who was acquired as an embryo by the partnership of Metz, Nuij, and De Jong.

Now six months into her second lactation, the junior champion of 2024 has successfully defended her title. With a top position and the best udder among her category with second-calvers, she earned a spot in the finals, prompting the jury to award her the Intermediate Championship. In the grand championship for the title of 'Miss Betuwe 2025,' the second calver proved too strong for the competition, allowing Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins to secure the grand champion cup for the tenth time!

Rita cow family also shone at the Avondbloesem Show, showcasing outstanding success in the junior competition. The fresh Stantons Chief daughter, Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2966, entered the show ring in the youngest category with milkers and upheld the legacy of this cow family by winning her class. Mat.-sister Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2679 VG-88 (sired by Viano) is the current Junior Champion of the Dairy fair Mariënwaerdt and participated in the oldest category, nearly 11 months into lactation, where she earned the best udder and secured a second-place. Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2946A, another Chief daughter directly descended from the Reserve Intermediate Champion Avondbloesemshow 2023, Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2134 VG-89, also achieved a prominent position in her section. With three heifers reaching the finals, the jury faced an exciting decision, ultimately naming Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2679 VG-88 as the champion and awarding the title of Res. Champion to the youngest Chief daughter, Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2966!
