Holbra Holsteins impressives with two new VG-87 2-yr-olds!
Holbra Malon 44 VG-87 (Marpon x GP-84 Remington)
Following their recent show successes, a classification took place this week in the Holbra Holsteins barn, during which thirteen 2-yr-olds and two cows were scored. This brought two first-calvers from the Malon branch of the Golden-Oaks Mark Prudence EX-95 cow family. Both heifers are also granddaughters of the well-known EX-90 Jetset daughter, Holbra Malon 8.
One of the high classified heifers is Holbra Malon 44, who has an impressive score of VG-87 with VG-88 for Dairy Strength. She ranks among the highest Koepon Marpon daughters in the Netherlands so far! Her granddam is the Jetset daughter Holbra Malon 8 EX-90, who has several brothers in AI, including her full brother, Holbra Mastershot. Additionally, Holbra Malon 41 RDC, a granddaughter by Delta Powerlift RF, also received VG-87 and was awarded with a maximum score of VG-89 for frame!

The highest score went to Holbra Joy 1, a fourth-calver Claynook Casper daughter. As a young heifer, she was contracted as an embryo donor by SwissGenetics and Inseme, which resulted in the sire Holbra Escope SG by Einstein, among others. After calving for the fourth time in November, Joy 1 was in excellent condition and received scores of VG-89, EX-92 MS and EX-93 DS.

Holbra Ferdi 3, a seventh lactation cow by Delaberge Pepper out of a VG-86 Freddie, received a very favorable score of VG-87 (with VG-89 MS). This impressive Pepper achieved a remarkable milestone of 100,000 kg of milk production, with 5.05% fat and 3.70% protein, in February. Additionally, this classification, Ferdi 3 earned the 1 Star Cow predicate.

Holbra Malon 39, a daughter of Rioaveso, not only boasts excellent milk production but also good conformation. After nearly 10 months of milking, her qualities continue to be prominently displayed. The visit of the classifier resulted in a score of VG-85, showcasing the strengths of her lineage: VG-87 Cameron x VG-88 Board x VG-88 Balisto. Since her birth in June 2022, Malon 39's genetic potential quickly became apparent, leading to her embryo contract at CRV. Her full brother, Holbra Marco, is currently being stationed at KI Kampen.
