What a day for NRP Holsteins last week. Norwin Piet went to the Veekeuring Fryslân (show in the province of Friesland, The Netherlands) for the first time with a homebred heifer and he could not be more happy with the results. NRP Australia 2 won her class and was named Junior Champion.
Type
Australia 2 has a great pedigree. Her sire is Atwood, one of the highest and most popular type bulls from the recent years. Her dam is A-L-H Australia RDC VG-87, a Supersire granddaughter of KHW Goldwyn Aiko RC EX-91, the Goldwyn daughter of Kamps-Hollow Durham Altitude EX-95. Aiko is a half-sister to the very successful brood- and showcow KHW Regiment Apple-Red EX-96 but also from high (type)bulls from Advent Red, Jotan Red and Acme RC.
Half-sisters
This maternal line of the Altitude family is not only about fancy type. Australia 2 has several high genomic testing half-sisters. What to think of NRP Alisha RDC, a +2497 GTPI / +145 GRZG / +264 GNVI Rubicon daughter, or NRP Silver Angel, a +2619 GTPI / +145 GRZG / +261 GNVI Silver.
