The Knoef family, Big Holsteins
During the Holland Holstein Herds show GenHotel-member the Knoef family has been honoured as Breeder of the Year in the Netherlands. The Big Holsteins herd is renown for her longevity and lifetime production, resulting in the number 1 position in The Netherlands on the list of herds with the most 100.000 kg milk and 10.000 kg fat & protein cows and also the first 200.000 kg milk cow in the country. Additionally the Knoef family has delivered many top daughterproven sires, including Big Winner, Big Malki, Big Spell and Big Winnetoe, all high scoring for productive life. This is the second time, after their election in 2011, that the Knoef family has won this honorable title. Earlier this year Big Anna Jacoba 115 EX-90 (s. Jorryn) became Dutch Cow of the Year 2018.
