Multiple VG scores at Schreur Holsteins

A selection of the Schreur Holsteins herd was recently (re-)introduced to the classifier. The 8 milking 2-year-olds from this group scored even 84 points on average! In addition, some dairy cows were also successfully re-classified.
At the German Selection Sale in 2018 Schreur Holsteins (the Reurslag family) bought a descendant of the influential Wilder Kanu family. It was Wilder Kira RDC, a De-Su Battlecry granddaughter of the VG-88 Willsbro Larson of Holtkamp, which calved before the age of 2.00 years and scored VG-85 in her first lactation.
The successful purchase of Kira RDC VG-85 resulted in several female offspring at Reurslag. Schreur Kira 3 Red (by Gywer RDC) is one of these daughters in milk and received a nice score of VG-86 (VG-88 FL), while her full sister Schreur Kira 5 RDC was classified VG-85 (VG-86 MS).

Schreur Charlotte 69 Red by Delta Jacuzzi-Red also classified VG-86. This Charlotte is the 7th generation VG-85 or higher and hails from the Schreur Charlotte/Highfield Mientje family. A well-known cow from this branch is Schreur Charlotte 4 RDC VG-86, a red carrier Picston Shottle and important donor and multiple bull dam. One of her most famous sons is Schreur Charlton Red (by Fidelity).

The American cow family of Des-Y-Gen Planet Silk RDC EX-90 performes well at the Schreur herd, because the maternal sister of former sire of sons Schreur Shimmer RDC was able to increase her score to VG-87 (VG-88 MS) in her second lactation. This Schreur Sunny 5 RDC VG-87 (by Westcoast Styx Red) shows an average 305 days production of 11,596 kgs of milk over her first 2 lactations!
