Great genomic results for Koepon Genetics!
Lakeside UPS Red Range-Red VG-86, tremendous influential brood cow
The USA genomic results of newly tested females in February have been published by the Holstein Association USA. Lots of variation in sire image and 5 toppers in the top 50 gTPI Europe for Koepon Genetics this month.
Koepon Redlea Range 311 RF is the absolute sensation of this run: With 3170 gTPI and 1161 NM$, she is the highest known red factor female worldwide! Range 311 RF is a STGen Redlea RDC daughter of the due to calve Koepon Gameday Range 133, a high Gameday x AltaAltuve RDC and granddaughter of the phenomenal brood cow Lakeside UPS Red Range-Red VG-86. The full sister of Range 311 RF, Koepon Redlea Range 313 RF, is also very interesting for red-and-white breeding programs, with 3081 gTPI and 1099 NM$ she is in the top 50 gTPI in February as well.
Three full sisters at Koepon, also from the Red Range family, in the top 50 are Koepon Sheepster Range 303, Koepon Sheepster Range 300 and Koepon Sheepster Range 298. They score respectively 3165, 3096 and 3095 gTPI and are sired by OCD Trooper Sheepster. Their dam, Koepon Gameday Range 138, is a full sister of Range 133 and will be calving this summer.
For the Holtkamp family, Wilder Karibik, the highest Peak AltaKevlow in Europe, is a welcome addition. She was imported from Canada as an embryo and comes from the American Art-Acres Kay family. Her dam Progenesis Plinko Krista is a daughter of the high-yielding Progenesis Skywalker Kosta VG-85. In addition to 3090 gTPI and 1205 NM$, Karibik also scores high on a German basis, with no less than 165 gRZG, 161 gRZM and 3128 gRZEuro.
Zwanebloem Holy Mindy 3222, a Cookiecutter Holysmokes with 3076 gTPI and 1019 NM$, is this month's topper at the Masscheleyn family in Belgium. Mindy is, as the name suggests, a descendant of Seagull-Bay Oman Mirror VG-86 and CMV Melwood Mindy VG-85 and has an almost flawless genomic profile. Her dam is a Siemers Renegade Parfect out of Zwanebloem Solution Mindy VG-85.
A nice type result this month is for Torenzicht 3STAR Hannelore. This Kings-Ransom Dropbox, imported as an embryo from America, scores +3.59 PTAT with +2.93 UDC, with an additional 2862 gTPI. Her dam is, via an EX-91 Monterey, Siemers Lba Hanina EX-94, a granddaughter of the well-known brood cow Cookiecutter Mogul Hanker EX-94, the Global Cow of the Year 2020.
