Twice in a row: Both the no. 1 spot B&W and R&W gNVI for 3STAR Breeding Program

In December 2023, for the first time, both Holstein as Red Holstein calves from the 3STAR Breeding Program ranked number 1. After the new April 2024 index week, GenHotel, and its members once again succeeded in breeding high-quality females based on gNVI by having two list leaders again for the 2nd time in a row now!

20% of the top 100 gNVI females come from the 3STAR Breeding Program, whether owned jointly with Dutch top breeders or not. Among the Holstein heifer calves, 3STAR DS Claudette, a daughter of the American sire Wilra SSI Regal Enclave, is the new number 1 with a score of 449 gNVI & 152 gRZG. She has international potential and is one of the four Enclave daughters in the top 10 gNVI B&W, three of which are full sisters. Claudette is followed by her sisters #4 3STAR DS Clarinda (423 gNVI) and #6 3STAR DS Claire (411 gNVI), which descend from the high producing and top-indexed cow family of Koepon Classy.

3STAR Amber 1083 P [A2A2 & BB] is the number 1 B&W polled for gNVI with 409 gNVI. She is also sired by Enclave, and the highest longevity transmitter in the top 100 with an impressive index of 1197 LVD. Amber 1083 P is a granddaughter of the multi-bull dam Amber PP Red VG-86 and comes from the cow family of sires such as Gywer RDC, Tirsvad 3STAR Member PP Red, 3STAR TV Ambo P Red, and 3STAR Tirsvad Ranking P Red.
Koepon Samson Doma 85 RF, a red-factor-carrying heifer (Samson x Ranger-Red), ranks 8th with 408 gNVI. She originates from the cow family of progeny proven Woodcrest King Doc, Brenland Denver, Scientific Destry RDC, and Morningview Upright, tracing back to non other than Scientific Debutante Rae EX-92. Koepon also bred the number 1 for INET with Koepon Samson Carmen 16 (Samson x Magnifique), testing 712 INET and 398 gNVI

WSH Goldmarie got her first official gNVI, placing her in the top 10. The WEH Georgia descendant from Germany has a gNVI of 403, as well as 155 gRZG and 2906 gTPI. This makes Goldmarie the number 2 Comeback daughter in Germany based on RZG. Bacchus Holsteins co-owns this heifer and bought her at a German sale. Just outside the top 10, WKF Holsteins' WKF Mask Moniek RDC, a Red Rocks Mask Red daughter, has a gNVI of 387 and is descended from breeding cow NH HS Marilyn Monroe VG-86.

On the Red Holstein list, Poppe 3STAR Lady Gaga P Red is for the second time the list frontrunner, with a gNVI of 415 / 1174LVD. She remains the absolute number one. This polled Skat P RDC granddaughter of Poppe K&L Gorgina and great-granddaughter of I'm Good VG-87 also has 154 gRZG and 125 gRZE (126 FUN). Embryos from I'm Good are available now. Bouw Mask Rody Red, bred and owned by Bouw Holsteins, ranks fourth with a gNVI of 394. The almost 5-month-old heifer traces back to De Oosterhof Dg Rose RDC VG-89 via three generations. Schuit Holsteins & GenHotel collaborated to bred THI Shout RDC daughter Schuit 3STAR Madie Red, a Wilder Meta VG-86 offspring that produces a lot of milk and places fifth on the red-and-white top list with 393 gNVI. Poppe Fienchen 2586 Red, a sired by Poppe Flight Red, a bull bred by Poppe Holsteins, is in the top 10 with a gNVI of 387, thanks in part to line breeding. The second-ranked red polled heifer comes from the herd of Schreur Holsteins. Schreur Serena 64 P Red, a Gen-I-Beq Goldwyn Secret RC descendant sired by Delta Borax Red, has a gNVI of 385 and is the granddaughter of the dam of the bull Schreur Staff P @RUW.

From the well-known cow family of Zandenburg Holsteins, namely of Fabiola, comes the 152 gRZG and 351 gNVI scoring Red Rocks Mask Red daughter Zandenburg Mask Fabiola 1 Red. With her score of 678 INET, she is the best b red-and-white INET transmitter in the top 100. When it comes to the highest score for longevity, Koepon Ranger Classy 509 Red takes the cake! The almost 2-year-old Ranger-Red daughter is giving 1207 LVD!
