New daughter proven list leaders in Germany
Waldclass Miracle PP Red is the highest homozygous polled bull in Germany, exported by GenHotel
The latest German April index run included a base adjustment, which resulted in a decrease of 5.0 for B&W RZG and 4.8 for R&W RZG. Despite this adjustment, the top sires of December 2023 maintained their indexes quite well. However, new bulls competed for the top spots in the Holstein and Red Holstein rankings. As a result, two new list leaders emerged among the progeny-proven bulls.
Genomic sires
Real Syn (by Rover) remained the leader for the third time in a row, with a score of 166 gRZG, 152 gRZM, 130 gRZE, and 2774 gRZ€, even after the basic adjustment. Real Syn is a much-used sire of sons from the Sully Shottle May EX-91 cow family. With his high gRZ€, Real Syn retained the number one position based on this breeding value as well. Rome (Regulus x Feature), the Italian born outcross bull, remained in second place with a score of 160 gRZG and flawless conformation. Callum, a Coverboy son from the De-Su 7012 family, moved up one spot to third place with a score of 160 gRZG. Rover son Rockwell moved down to fourth place with a score of 159 gRZG, but up one point from December. The highest newcomer in the list is Pretender, an early Precision son with a score of 157 gRZG, who is a son from MOK Jessica, one of the top sellers of the Masterrind Exclusive 2022. Comet (Concept x Palmer), owned by AI station OHG, climbed to ninth place with a score of 157 gRZG, and is one of the highest climbers in the list. The highest red factor bull in Germany is the debuting TD Sweet RDC, one of the first Shout RDC sons available, with a score of 157 gRZG, 155 gRZM, 117 MYT, and positive components in his profile.
The highest polled Holstein bull is RUH Rayban P, marketed by Synetics. Rayban P is a Rainow x Simon P x Hotspot P, who comes from a high productive German/American cow family. With a score of 157 gRZG, 155 gRZM, good Kälberfitness, and top Persistence, Rayban P can compete with other top bulls. Wilder Holsteins brings the highest-ranked bull bred by GenHotel members, WIL Greytop sired by Greycup, in 17th position with a score of 156 gRZG.

Although the Red number 1 and 2 of December continue to perform well, a newcomer named Skill Red (Skyliner Red x Money P Red) has managed to surpass them with an impressive gRZG score of 161. Skill Red is not only sired by the highly-regarded NH Skyliner Red, he also has the new number 1 proven Red Holstein Visstein K&L Money P Red as his grandsire, which are favorable factors. The highest polled sire within the Red Holstein genomics segment is with 158 gRZG CR7 P Red, a Delta Cartoon P Red son ranked 2nd with fantastic scores for gRZN & gRZGes and tends to be a big udder transmitter.
This 2nd position is shared with GlH Redford Red from the Geestland Holsteins herd, who also has a gRZG score of 158. He is the highest 3STAR OH Ranger Red son in Germany who shows a very high 124 gRZRobot and is one of the best conformation sires within this top ranking. His full sister is fresh and recently photographed by Semex Germany and so is going viral right now. In fourth place is Handout P Red, sired by HWH 3STAR Hugo PP RDC, with 158 gRZG, a large milk production (+2071 kgM), and flawless conformation. The highest newcomer, Wilder Ryan Red, is a Ranger Red son bred by the Holtkamp family from their own Wilder Kanu cow family. Ryan Red has stormed into the list with a gRZG score of 156, 133 gRZN, 108 KFit, +0.32% fat, +0.09% protein, and 125 EUT. Bulls Koepon Sirius P Red (155 gRZG) and ZHW Stirpes Red (155 gRZG) from the members Koepon and ZHW Holsteins are listed in the top 10 again.
Cop PP Red still holds his position as the highest homozygous polled red sire in Germany. The Cartoon P Red son has gained another point in his total index and is now ranked 9th with 155 gRZG.

Daughter proven
The december 2023 leader, OH Dg Topstone, has been replaced by list climber PG Super Uno (147 RZG). PG Super Uno has a daughter-tested index including 149 milking daugters. Topstone, sired by Topshot and co-bred by De Oosterhof, has 6700 lactating daughters in Germany, and his index remains unchanged after the april adjustments. However, he has now fallen to the fifth position. Tirsvad K&L Pursuit Predar @Qnetics has made a remarkable debut as a daughter-proven bull, with his first daughters in milk. The Pine-Tree-I Pursuit son, directly out of brodo cow Pen-Col Superhero Mistral EX-91, scores 146 RZG and is highly praised for his high % fat and fitness traits. Suez, by Subzero, is also on the list for the first time, with 77 milking daughters, sharing the second position with his 146 RZG. Garett is the highest climber this run, moving from the 25th to the 4th place, and increasing 3 points in his RZG compared to December. The December debutant, KAX Gladius, now has more than 300 daughters in milk and retains his unchanged index of 145 RZG which makes him in 8th position. Gladius is a Gazebo son from the Mauricienne Rudolph Nike EX-92 cow family.
Gepard RDC (Gywer RDC x Gatedancer) at Synetics is the highest red factor bull, with 145 RZG. KNS Simon P, bred by KNS Holsteins, is the best-scoring proved polled sire, giving 141 RZG based on more than 3500 daughters.

There is a new number 1 in the list of Red proven sires and he is a result from the 3STAR Breeding Program! Visstein K&L Money P Red was brought to RUW as a young sire and has become a popular polled sire with excellent indexes. His index is based on more than 200 milking daughters. This bull, bred by Visstein and GenHotel, is a Tirsvad Match P RDC son out of Visstein K&L Sv Aderina Red VG-89. With 147 RZG, he has become the leader, displacing Garnier Red, which now holds the second position with 146 RZG. Both bulls originated from Kamps-Hollow Durham Altitude RDC EX-95. Congratulations are also in order for Sudena Holsteins, who bred the number three, Sudena Safari Red (143 RZG) @Masterrind. This Spark Red son is a son of the well-known brood cow and dam of Lakeside Ups Red Range VG-86: De Oosterhof Dg Rose RDC VG-89. Safari Red is not only the son of no. 4 sire Spark Red (141 RZG) but has also been in the top rankings of Switzerland for a long time. One of the highest climbers in the list is Sanseo P Red, also a son of Spark Red, who has risen from the 9th palce to the 5th. He has been tested based on almost 140 daughters and has an excellent index of 141 RZG.
The highest homozygous polled bull is the Dutch Waldclass Miracle PP Red (My Dream P x Styx Red), who has climbed 6 points in his index and is now in 6th place. He was brought to RUW as a young bull by GenHotel. Another newcomer to the list is Sam Red P, a Spark Red son out of Brigitta PP RDC VG-87 - granddam of genomics bulls 3STAR HWH Globed P Red and 3STAR HWH Bambam P. Sam Red P is now ranked 8 with an index of 138 RZG. The sire of Globed P Red, Pröbstings Global Red, can be found in 7th place with 140 RZG. Finally, rounding out the top 10 is the debutant Speedy Red (Spark Red x Styx Red).
