A Boss son of Veneriete Epic Ida 66 has an incredible +171 GRZG (!!) and is herewith the highest genomic tested bull in Germany. K&L sold Boss embryos of Ida 66 from Veneriete Holsteins to the German AI-organisation RUW. This resulted in the absolute #1 GRZG bull from Germany. A fantastic result.

When we take a look at the pedigree of Veneriete Epic Ida 66 we notice that as well her dam, granddam and great-granddam are still alive. The dam of Ida 66 is Veneriete Niagra Ida 31 VG-87, one of the best European Niagra daughters. She is a daughter of the very successful broodcow Veneriete Shottle Ida 6 VG-88, a Shottle daughter of Butemare Veneriete Ida O VG-86 (O Man). Ida 31 and Ida 6 are still active in the Veneriete herd. Butemare Veneriete Ida O is sold to Heja Holsteins after an intensive flush carrier. At Heja Holsteins she calved again at 8.5 years old and has almost finished her third lactation. The Butemar / Venetiete Ida family breeds really well. Cows from this family proof this generation after generation.

But now back to Ida 66, dam of the high Boss bull. She still scores +290 GNVI and +146 GRZG. She has daughters by Danno and Sundance who are currently waiting for their genomic results to come back. Ida 66 looks fine and is due to Halogen early 2015..jpg)
