Poppe Holsteins conquers 1st and 2nd place in the NVI proven ranking!

The August proof run of 2024 takes a new look at the top (g)NVI due to new names popping up in both Holstein as Red Holstein lists. Bulls that already entered the lists in April are making their way to the top. For example, Poppe Freestyle-Red and Poppe Kayne Red, from the herd of Poppe Holsteins, stole places 1 and 2 in the list of proven Red Holstein bulls.
Polled
Based on Holstein Polled, Delta Security P RDC is once again the frontrunner. Security is a son of Warren P RF with a gNVI of 357. The top 10 is filled with Dutch bulls, but the Danish bull Tirsvad Carlo PP RDC of Tirsvad Genetics, with a gNVI of 319, managed to secure a top-5 position again. The Cartoon P Red son climbed one spot higher in the top list compared to April. He also shows a high Levensduur score of +1107 days.
The number 1 polled Red Holstein bull of April, Delta Cream P-Red with 382 gNVI (by Goldline), has been surpassed by the new overall Red Holstein genomics frontlrunner Delta Steadfast P Red, with 392 gNVI. Steadfast P Red (Warren P x Launch PP) comes from the Markwell Durham Daisy EX-92 family and has a high fertility of 110 and gives a high index for milk. The German bull Fashion P Red (149 gRZG) is in 6th place with 335 gNVI, dropping a few places compared to the April index turn. Schuit 3STAR Marcel P Red, owned by the Spanish Xenética Fontao, is in 8th place with a gNVI of 323. This bull was bred by Pieter Schuit and GenHotel out of the purchase that Poppe Holsteins made together with GenHotel, namely THI Tasty RDC.

Red genomic Bulls
After Steadfast P-Red (#1) and Crema P-Red (#2), the German bull RR Shein Red (Shout RDC x Palmer) is in third position with a gNVI of 370, showing a significant increase in his total index. In sixth position is ZWH Stripes Red (355 gNVI) bred by ZWH Holsteins. Stripes Red comes from the well-known Gold-N-Oaks S Marbella line, which traces back to Gold-N-Oaks Morty Malibu EX-94. Delta Borax-Red (Freestyle Red x Jakarta) takes the lead over Stripes Red with 359 gNVI. CEH Spotlight Red, a Sputnik RDC son, also performed well with 346 gNVI, securing the 7th place position.
Red Holstein dauhgter proven
April debutant, Poppe Freestyle-Red by Gywer RDC, has overtaken the international favorite, Westcoast Swingman Red (#3 272 NVI), and claimed the top spot with 290 NVI. Freestyle, the former sire of sons, made it to the list with 277 NVI based on 68 milking daughters. With the number of Dutch/Flemish milking dauhters now at 169, Freestyle is in a stronger position compared to his competitors. Sons of Freestyle, such as Aalshorst Fresco Red, De Oosterhof 3STAR Fresco Red, Diekers 3STAR OH Fladderak RDC, and Tirsvad 3STAR Franklin P Red, are being used now in different breeding programs. Notably, not only Freestyle but also Poppe Kayne Red have secured a better position in the rankings. He's sired bya Jacuzzi-Red and straigth from the Wilder K cow family. Kanye holds the second spot in the list with an unchanged 282 NVI. Other bulls in the top 10 include DG OH Rubels Red (#4 260 NVI) from De Oosterhof, Koepon AltaTop Red (#5 256 NVI), Albring's Drouner Altitude Red (#6 252 NVI), and Aalshorst Rody-Red from Aalshorst Holsteins with 248 NVI. Koepon's bull AltaTop-Red is known for his high longevity, with +902 days. Interestingly, the intensively used Delta Jacuzzi-Red, with 4600 daughters, is in 9th place with 242 NVI.

After the excellent debut of 3STAR OH Ranger Red yesterday, an additional leading position within the NVI progeny proven list has been achieved as well. Although he currently shares his RZG position with Sanderij Ginger Red (265 NVI), he still maintains a strong position in terms of the NVI index. The Rubels-Red son showcases an index of 279 NVI, with a longevity of +712 days, 107 Udder Health, and 112 Udders! Drouner Rednex Red, the highest progeny proven type bull with 113 EXT and 111 udders, has reclaimed his position from Caudumer Lifesaver-Red (Elixir x Rocky) after the April 2024 update. The maternal-brother of, among others, Caudumer Batch P, gives 112 EXT with 112 udders.
Genomic Bulls
The new genomic rankings show Bento in the top spot with 423 gNVI, followed by Delta Boyan s. Warren P RF with 388 gNVI. Bento, a German bull with 150 gRZG in Germany, is sired by Bench out of HWH 3STAR Ariana, a Sh Gigaliner daughter tracing back to Hanoverhill Tony Rae. Tigerwoods De La Vigne (Ridercup x Yearwood) is now ranked third with 388 gNVI. VH Sitron, a Sunrise son, follows in fourth place, demonstrating an increase in milk production and an impressive 840 INET index. Real Syn, a long-standing top-ranked gRZG bull in Germany, secures the sixth position with 373 gNVI.

Red Holstein dauhgter proven
Among the proven bulls, it is the number 1 bull of America that sets foot ashore. Genosource Captain (Charl x Tango) has been the number 1 daughter proven in America for more than a year and now also manages to conquer the Netherlands with 325 NVI. In second place is the debuting Delta Reloader, a Bouw Finder son with 308 gNVI and 444 daughters. Willem's-Hoeve Woody is in 5th place. The bull bred by Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins now has 2563 daughters in his index and his NVI rises, again, to 386. The American Topnotch son Silverridge V Einstein is in 10th place with 258 NVI and 56 daughters in production.
The best proven conformation bull remains Koepon Random with a sustained 115 Total Conformation. The total index of this very popular Double W Ranger son out of the Koepon Esmonique/Walkup Astronaut Lou Ann family already includes more than 2100 lactating daughters.
