S-S-I Eisaku Payload, again in the top 5 TPI proven sires
In America, the August 2024 breeding values for bulls have been published, with some new names, but also many well-known names at the top of the TPI rankings.
Daughter proven bulls
The number 1 TPI proven bulls USA of April, Genosource Captain (Charl x Sabre) is also the leader in August, he now scores 3331 TPI. Last time's number 2, RMD-Dotterer SSI Gameday, also managed to maintain himself in 2nd place with 3221 TPI. In 3rd place is now Plain-Knoll Renegade Trooper (Renegade x Legendary), thanks to a 112-point TPI increase. Westcoast Lambeau and S-S-I Eisaku Payload complete the top 5 TPI breeding bulls, just like in April.
Siemers Renegade Parfect is back in the top 10, now at number 8 with 3121 TPI, with +2.40 PTAT and +2.21 UDC. Former mating sire Silverridge V Einstein, who has already risen several rounds in a row, now rises from 3027 to 3121 TPI. Highest debutant in the top 10 this run is Delicious H-Noon Tampa, a High Noon x Jedi from the Windsor-Manor Rud Zip EX-95 family.
The only bull in the top 200 TPI with a +3.00 PTAT is Coldsprings Blaska (+3.00 PTAT & +2.37 UDC), who follows the footsteps of his sire Woodcrest King Doc, the highest type bull in the top 100 TPI in America for several years in a row. With Doc x Denver x Bombero x McCutchen, he has a great conformation sire stack. Other high progeny proven type sires in the top 200 are Claynook Zasberilla (+2.37 PTAT & +2.56 UDC) and Cherry-Lily Zip Luster P (Zipit P x Kingboy) with +2.57 PTAT.
The highest polled progeny proven bull for TPI is Winstar Wendel P (Entity x Windfall) with 2995 TPI, followed by Bomaz Monument P (Medley P x Delta), who scores 2942 TPI.
3STAR OH Ranger-Red now has 34 milking daughters in his index in America. In his USA Interbull breeding value, based on a total of 356 daughters (in Canada, USA and Germany) he scores 2849 TPI and +2.00 PTAT (117 approved daughters). The former No. 1 gTPI and gLPI young Red Holstein bulls worldwide is now also the No. 1 Red Holstein daughterproven bull for TPI in America, as well as the No. 2 LPI Red Holstein proven bull in Canada (3554 LPI).
High genomic young sires
Among the bulls of one year and older, OCD Thorson Ripcord (Thorson x Captain) is once again the leader of the list, now with 3416 gTPI, mainly due to an extreme production potential. Through many generations of bulldams, Ripcord can be traced back to the legendary Snow-N-Denises Dellia EX-95. The number 2 is now the Canadian young bull Progenesis Watchman (Sheepster x Gameday), who scores 3408 gTPI and has his roots at the American breeder farm Welcome Holsteins, New York. His three-quarter-brother S-S-I Sheepster Mican also manages to surpass the 3400 gTPI and has his origins at the Sildahl Holsteins farm in the American state of Washington.
The highest polled bull with NAAB code is now Winstar Margin P (Maxwell P x Gameday), going back to the well-known brood cow Seagull-Bay O-Man Mirror VG-86. Margin P scores 3278 gTPI with +1.60 gPTAT and +2.18 UDC in addition.
