Spectacular national show weekend for members!
Drouner Cosmo 1836 VG-89, a well deserved Champion
Numerous GenHotel members had traveled to the North of the Netherlands to participate in the national Holland Holstein sHow. Great results were achieved by them. One of the highlights of the day was provided by Drouner Holsteins, who headed home with the trophy for the Junior Holstein Championship!
Junior Red & White
The youngest class with red-and-white 2-yr-olds was won by the 7 weeks fresh Willem's-Hoeve Jmw Applause 26, owned by Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins, Metz & Nuijl. The very correct and great uddered Lindenright Moovin RDC daughter out of GHH Applause Red stole the show. Dam Applause Red was purchased by De Jong and GenHotel during the Masterrind Exclusive Sale in 2020. She is a Devour RDC daughter out of the well-known Nohl Avala Vray EX-90 - full sister of Miss Apple Snapple Red EX-96 - which makes Applause a full sister of GHH Alice Red VG-86 in Switzerland. After flushing, Applause embryos were divided between the two owners. One of these embryos resulted in the birth of Applause 26. After her class victory, the young Moovin RDC reached the finals where she was named Reserve Junior R&W Champion of the HHH Show 2023!

Intermediate Red & White
In the Intermediate class, the Intermediate Champion of the Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt 2023 entered the ring, namely Batouwe Jrd Belladonna EX-90 - owned by Batouwe Holsteins. The second lactation Cycle Mcgucci Jordy-Red placed second behind the later crowned Intermediate Champion Twente Dairies Incredibull Mel! Belladonna is a granddaughter of the phenomenal show cow All-Star Jotan Bella EX-92.

Senior Red & White
Johan Uenk's favorite show cow Tienmorgen Marie Suze 7 EX-90 won the Grand Championship at the Oener Koefeest 2023 last month. The five-year-old Caps Dg Apple Pie Red granddaughter of the now 16-year-old Brook Marie 61 EX-91 made sure she looked great from every angle at the national show and achieved a third place in her class.

Junior Black & White
In the category with black-and-white 2-yr-olds, the Albring family made a huge impression. After the victory of Drouner Cosmo 1836 during the Rundveeshow Noord last summer and the maximum classification score of VG-89, all eyes were on this Stantons Alligator daughter! The judges' eye also fell on this youthful, complete heifer with a very firmly attached udder. All the more reason for the jugde to let her take the lead in the youngest class. In the final, Cosmo 1836 VG-89 was well deservedly crowned as Junior B&W Champion. She follows in the footsteps of her great-granddam which was also named Junior B&W Champion at the HHH back in 2015, namely Drouner AJDH Cosmo EX-92 (EX-94 MS).

Intermediate Black & White
Hoftijzer Holsteins & Molenkamp Holsteins presented Stone-Front Artist daughter Dynamic Elza 1. The Elza's go back to the well-known Ideal daughter Truus 3465 EX-93! This great second lacctation Artist achieved a third position in her class.
In the class with red-and-white herd groups, the group with young milkers of the Albring family managed to win the second place.
Already on Friday, the Young Breeders competition took place where member New Moore Holsteins was high placed in the conformation category with New Moore Jan Maria 526 placed second. Maria 526 is a daughter of a bull used for natural servie and is out of a first calver Atwood daughter. Maria 526 was shown by Mariesa Gunnink, who also led this heifer to the Reserve Championship during the Kalverkeuring Overijssel & Flevoland last month. The success continued with a third place for New Moore Thomas Maria 534, also a result from a mating with a stud bull, namely Argh Tomas. There was also a third place in the oldest class for the two-year-old New Moore Side Maria 510, a Walnutlawn Sidekick daughter from the same Marie cow family as the aforementioned herdmate. This Sidekick daughter is pregnant and calves in February.
