Bull dam Batouwe Salsa Aiko Red VG-85 (s. Ri-Val-Re Salsa RC), bred by Batouwe Holsteins (the Bakker family), ended up at Rhala Holsteins & Excellent Genetics (Van der Steege family). There she has been flushed several times with popular sire of sons at that time, including Mr Salvatore RDC, Lucky PP-Red, Swissbec Yoda P and Alaska-Red. At Van der Steeges' dairy farm the high testing Rhala RE Quickstep Red was born out of the flush with Alaska-Red.
Where Batouwe Salsa Aiko Red VG-85 moved from Batouwe Holsteins to Van der Steege, Rhala RE Quickstep Red went the opposite way. Bakker, who knows the potential of the KHW Goldwyn Aiko RDC EX-91 line, was interested to buy a daughter of Salsa Aiko Red VG-85. So together with Roubos Holsteins they purchased Rhala RE Quickstep Red.
