Koepon OH Robin-Red, scoring high in Switzerland!
This index run has again given many international top bulls bred by GenHotel members new (genomic) breeding values. This has yielded several successful results, including many top 10 listings! Below are some of the many toppers.
Switzerland
No less than 5 of the top 6 R&W young bulls in Switzerland are bred by GenHotel members. Top of the list is the global topper 3STAR OH Ranger Red, the Rubels-Red son out of the great brood cow Lakeside UPS Red Range VG-85, with 1728 gISET. In second place is Dykster 3STAR Ewing Red SG, a Trent-Way Ronald RDC from K&L Pace Delta, followed by Drouner K&L Augustus P Red, the Caudumer Solitair P Red son from Drouner K&L Aiko 1557 RDC VG-87, who manages to get his gISET this run to increase to 1659. In 5th and 6th places are Koepon OH Robin (a full brother of Ranger-Red) and Sudena Safari Red, a Spark x Rubicon Rose VG-89 bred by Sudena Holsteins.
Among the black & white young bulls, the enormous component transmitter 3STAR OH Marcello (Nacash x K&L OH Granite Mabel) with 1685 gISET is number 3. Holbra Epson SG is with 1683 gISET in 4th place the highest Hulk P son, out of Holbra Casper Joy 1 from Holbra Holsteins and delivered as an embryo to Swiss Genetics via GenHotel. The same goes for his half-brother Escope SG, an Einstein from Joy 1, with 1651 gISET the number 8. In between is Wilder Holocron (Aristocrat x Fortune), who keeps his gISET stable at 1668 and is now in 6th place. Highest type bull in the top 100 gISET is Koepon Showking, an AltaDateline out of Koepon Bandares Classy 402 VG-87, who certainly lives up to his name with 144 ITP (Index Type) and 142 Euter (udder).
Canada
3STAR OH Ranger-Red (Rubels-Red x Salvatore RDC), the first red-and-white bull to top the Canadian black-and-white list in decades of breeding history, also manages to maintain the lead in this run with 3905 gLPI. In addition, at $4064 he is the number 2 for Pro$ and scores 2884 gTPI, 161 gRZG, 4596 gPFT and 814 gPLI among others. Ranger-Red is now the absolute number 1 Red Holstein bull in both Canada, America, Italy and Switzerland! His full brother Koepon OH Ryder Red is also in the top 20 black & white in Canada with 3731 gLPI.
England
In England K&L Lz Conan PP Red is now again the number 1 red & white proven bull and number 15 on the black & white list with 644 PLI. He is also the number 1 polled daughterproven bull and even homozygous polled! Conan PP Red is a son of Red Rocks K&L Lazar P Red out of K&L BL Candle P RDC, a De-Su Balisto half-sister of Schreur Apoll P Red.
Scandinavia
In the Scandinavian calculation model (Denmark, Sweden & Finland) Willem's-Hoeve K&L Bovino is with 30 NTM and more than 200 milking daughters one of the highest proven bulls. Bovino is a Board son out of Willem's-Hoeve Javina 1242 (s. Balisto). Peak AltaZarek, bred on Koepon Genetics, out of Koepon Ruby-Ann, already scores 29 NTM with his first calved daughters and is therefore directly in the top 10 NTM proven bulls. Koepon Camden RDC (Solitair P Red out of Peak Imax Camille VG-86) is with 37 NTM the highest red carrier bull in the young bulls list. VH Bertram, bred by 3STAR Genetics, sold as an embryo to Germany and now owned by Viking Genetics, scores 35 NTM. His sire is K&L OH Bellwether (AltaTopshot x Silver), his dam K&L OH Maria is a full sister of the famous brood cow K&L OH Mirror (Rubi Agronaut x Josuper).
The Netherlands
Capnation Benello (Bernell x Balisto), bred by the Captein family, starts in August in 5th place in the black and white proven bulls. He has a very complete first proof with remarkably good health traits and a nice plus for % protein. Tirsvad Gogo (Supershot x Massy), bred by Tirsvad Holsteins, jumps 42 points NVI and comes from the well-known Grietje family.
Aalshorst Rody-Red shoots from 12th to 3rd place in the red & white proven bulls. His 2nd calf daughters produce considerably more kilos of milk, fat and protein, while his health traits have also increased slightly. In addition, the bull bred by the Scholten family gained 2 points for feet & legs and 1 point total type. The daughters of Huntje Holstein Red River (Riverboy RDC x Fraiko RDC) also perform well, which means that Red River rises again and is now in the top 20 of NLD & FLA. The highest R&W type bull remains Drouner Rednex-Red, who has increased 1 point udder and total this run: now 116 udder and 115 total type.
