RUW features a 3STAR Signal P progeny group

This Friday, the Rinder Union West herdbook will host its annual Highlight Sale. In addition to the sale, they will spotlight the breeders of their bulls and present daughter groups. Last year they featured daughters of K&L Sputnik RDC; this year, the focus will be on the daughters of the proven 3STAR Signal P, who earned his first proven RZG in December.

In April 2021, the young KNS Simon P son made a name for himself with a remarkable 160 gRZG, ranking as the number three polled genomics bull in Germany. He is distinguished by his high calving ease, high will for milk production with excellent components, and outstanding conformation, particularly transmitting good udders.

Signal P is the result of an embryo purchase from Imax daughter Exloër Brenda VG-87, made through the 3STAR EmbryoProgram. In addition to the flush with Simon P, Brenda was also flushed for GenHotel with Peak Chilton. This flush produced two daughters: ZB 3STAR Bella VG-85 and DG MAR Bree VG-87, which grew into the dam of the no. 1 production and INET transmitting sire (ZB NVI) VH Sitron!

Signal P has demonstrated a strong performance over several proof runs and has even been recognized as a sire of sons as well. One notable offspring is the bull Poppe 3STAR Sentry P, who has a gRZG of 154 and is stationed at Qnetics. In December 2024, Signal P received his first daughter-proven results in Germany, based on 45 daughters/34 farms. This resulted in gRZG of 140 (with 88% reliability), maintaining a calving ease of 115 gZKm and a milk production of +932 kgM.

Among the list of proven polled Holstein bulls, Signal P currently ranks fourth. To move up to a joint third place, he needs to surpass his father, KNS Simon P, who holds a gRZG of 142 with 99% reliability and has 6,298 evaluated daughters.
