Classified 2-Yr-olds at the Willem's Hoeve averaging VG-85.7
Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2679 highlights breeding success by achieving a VG-88 score.
Last week, Willem's Hoeve Holsteins enjoyed an impressive classification day with 28 scored 2-yr-olds, resulting in a high average of VG-85.7. The home-bred bulls Viano, Optum Red, and Steyr played a significant role in this success, elevating the breeding results of the herd of the De Jong family to a new level.
The 2-yr-old Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt winner Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2679 (Viano x VG-87 Diamondback RDC) achieved the highest classification score of VG-88 (VG-89 MS). Additionally, Willem's-Hoeve Redpower Rita 2 (Power x VG-86 Jordy-Red) class winner of the Red Holstein 2-yr-olds at the Diary Fair, received VG-87 with a maximum score of VG-89 MS this day.

Their bulls for natural service named Viano has been used extensively by the De Jong family, leading to the birth of beautiful offspring. Besides junior Champion Rita 2679, another daughter from the Rita family named Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2780 Kd, achieved a VG-87. GHH Applause Red, purchased by Willem's Hoeve/GenHotel, was also bred with Viano and gave birth to Willem's-Hoeve 3STAR Applause RDC, who is the maternal sister of the HHH 2023 Res. R7W Champion, Willem's-Hoeve Jmw Applause 26 VG-89! Applause RDC got a score of VG-86 with an impressive classification of VG-89.

Furthermore, Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2592 Red, another red Rita offspring, went for a VG-87 score with a maximum classification score of VG-89 Frame. Like the Viano daughters mentioned earlier, this Rita 2592 is also a 100% Willem's Hoeve result. Her sire is Willem's-Hoeve Optum Red (Attico Red x Fever) and on the dam side we find Mr Burns RC daughter Willem's Hoeve Rita 0438 Red VG-87. Although the Rita family was well represented in terms of numbers and high scores, the Javina family also stood out. Willem's Hoeve Javina 2687, sired by the home bred AI stud bull Willem's-Hoeve Steyr, received VG-87.

In addition, three young dairy cows, all from the famous Rita's, received a re-classification of VG-89. This included Willem's-Hoeve Rita 1876 EX-90's daughter Rita 2316 in 3rd lactation (by Seagull-Bay Silver).
