GenHotel's newest member: Roubos Holsteins
On the GenHotel members page you will find a new breeder, namely Roubos Holsteins. The young and enthusiastic farmer, Arjan Roubos, has already created a genetically strong herd with animals from several influential cow families. Initially due to the collaboration with Batouwe Holsteins, but now also on his own!
The most recent success of Roubos Holsteins is the sale of RH Altitude Ivy Red during the GenHotel Selection Sale early May. The direct Farnear Altitude-Red from Pamprd-Acres Ab Ivy Red EX-94 - the 9th generation excellent in a row - was sold online for € 7,500! From the same combination, Roubos owns the four-month-old RH Altitude Indy Red.

One of Roubos' latest acquisitions is a direct Val-Bisson Doorman from Smith-Crest-TW Sh Virgie EX-95 - USA Star of the Breed 2017! RH Doorman Veronique, purchased as an embryo, hails from a deeply rooted, American pedigree that goes back to the early '30s of the last century! In Veronique's pedigree we find 8 generations of VG/EX in a row. In addition to the big award of dam Virgie, she was also nominated - twice - for All-American Lifetime Production Cow and won the Nasco Type & Production Award at the WDE 2017.

Based on index, Roubos bred in combination with the Bakker family (Batouwe Holsteins) great offspring of their jointly purchased Rhala RE Quickstep Red (by Alaska Red), a descendant of Kamps-Hollow Durham Altitude RDC EX-95. For example, her daughter R&B Sw Aimy Red is the no. 1 R&W NTM globally and the no. 1 Swingman Red daughter based on NVI. Aimy Red her Poppe Freestyle Red daughter R&B Freestyle Aimey Red scores strong in multiple systems: 157 gRZG, 332 gNVI and 29 NTM! This makes Aimey Red one of the top 100 gNVI heifers on R&W basis.
