Classification at Holbra Holsteins
Holbra Malon 36 now scores VG-87
The Holbra Holstein herd recently received a visit from the classifier, and it was a successful one, resulting in numerous VG scores. One of the highest scores was achieved by a young, red Cookiecutter MOM Halo VG-88 offspring!
Fourteen cows from the Holmer family's barn got scored. The highest score of VG-89 was awarded to the fourth calver, Holbra Malon 16 (Hartley x VG-88 Board). Malon's Type and Mammary were EX-90 classified! Malon 16 is one of the six producing daughters of Holbra Malon 9 VG-88, all of whom are still present. Another scored sister, the 2nd lactation Holbra Malon 36 by Delta Nippon P, received a great score of VG-87 (VG-89 MS). This means the average of those six daughters out of Malon 9 went up to VG-86.7! Malon 16, the Hartley daughter, has a son named Holbra Sané at the Dutch KI Kampen.

The highest heifer score was awarded to Holbra Halo Red P, an Augustus P Red daughter who calved at 1.10 years old and classified VG-87. She is a descendant of the Holstein International Global Cow of the Year 2019 - Cookiecutter MOM Halo VG-88. Another descendant from the same line, the first calver Holbra Valentine 5 (Parfect x Solution), was classified VG-86.

Further scores were given to Holbra A-L-H Rebecca Red, a fourth calver Spark Red. She received this round a new score of VG-88. At the beginning of August, Rebecca Red calved again and is now rising to a daily production of 70kgM!

The Crisalis RDC daughter Crisalis Range 91, purchased from the Koepon Summer Sale, received GP-84 with VG-88 MS. This Red Range VG-86 offspring freshend in January after she was flushed many times, which has already led to 15 direct offspring so far. Highest scoring is Cookiecutter Holysmokes daughter Holbra Range 1 with 3029 gTPI with 2.23 gPTAT & 2.56 UDC!
