3STAR OH Sunnyside Red, granddam Somfy Red
The first offspring from the former number 1 red-and-white genomics bull GlH Redford are being born, and with that also the first gRZG results of his daughters are coming in. An outstanding result was achieved with 3STAR OH Somfy P Red, a polled daughter of young sire Redford who has the highest RZG-index of any polled Redford daughter in Europe so far!
3STAR OH Somfy P Red was born as an ET-result through the 3STAR Embryo Program. Her dam is former embryo donor 3STAR OH Sunelio P Red (by HIN Sorelio P Red), owned by De Oosterhof and GenHotel. She is expected to calve in November 2024. Three brothers of her dam have already been sold to international AIs, including De Oosterhof 3STAR Redbull Red and Sunelio's her full brother 3STAR OH Sunnyboy Red. The interest in these genetics has increased, partly because their dam, 3STAR OH Sunnyside Red, was the former number 1 gTPI red and white female in Europe!
With this promising background, the expectations for this polled heifer calf were high. Rightly so, because an RZG result of 161 gRZG was recently celebrated by owners De Oosterhof and GenHotel. Additionally, this Redford daughter is also transmitting A2A2 and BB, producing 1972M, 128 gRZS, 121 MYT, 130 EUT, and giving a top conformation score of 137 RZE! This makes her not only the current No. 2 Redford daughter but also the No. 1 polled Redford daughter in Europe.
