Topseller HighlightSale sold for €24.500

As it does every year, the HighlightSale kicked off the new season of elite auctions. This year’s offerings included calves and maiden heifers with high genomic potential, exceptional conformation, first-class 2-yr-olds , and, for the first time, two IVF sessions. The average sale price at the sale organized by RUW was over €7,300.

The animals showcased themselves superbly to the numerous potential buyers who gathered in Hamm, Germany. A standout was the daughter group of the sire 3STAR Signal P, which garnered considerable attention and praise from the audience.

At 7:45 PM, auctioneer Christoph Niehues-Pröbsting and pedigree reader Dominik Weber welcomed both the online viewers logged in via FarmersBid.com and the guests present in the auction hall last Friday evening. Thanks to the online livestreaming, 31% of the 40 lots were sold through FarmersBid.com. Despite the recent report of foot-and-mouth disease that surfaced last Friday, a third of the lots were sold to breeders from North, South, and East Germany, as well as the Benelux countries. Most of the lots were sold within the RUW district. However, famles purchased by buyers from the Netherlands have not yet been delivered due to the ongoing uncertainties surrounding the foot-and-mouth outbreak in East Germany.

Lot 24 Easypeasy, a young Real Syn daughter, was the highest tested lot at the auction, according to both gRZG and gRZ€. She also achieved top-level indexes in various international systems. Her granddam, BMN Elli, who was a HighlightSale lot back in 2021 and the dam of the former number 1 gRZG bull, Champion, is now recognized as one of the best breeding cows in Germany. BMN Elli is descended from the famous Clear-Echo Ramo 1200 EX-94. Easypeasy was sold to a German dairy farmer for an impressive €24,500.

Lot 37 THD Desiré P, the highest tested polled Arizona daughter, hails from the Curr-Vale-Goldwyn-Delicious RDC EX-94 cow family and has a rich history as it comes to the HighlightSale. Her granddam, THD Despania, was successfully sold to the Netherlands during the HighlightSale 2021 and has been breeding exceptionally well there. The bidding for her rose to €22,000, after which she changed hands within Germany. Last but not least, SHK Xamba entered the stage as lot 45.  She is one of the highest-scored Rome daughters in Germany and excels in multiple international systems. SHK Xamba traces back to the well-known bull dams Ronelee Outside Dabble EX-91 and Ronelee Boliver Dreary EX-86. With an amount of € 21,000, SHK Xamba was acquired by a breeder from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. ZFZ Clear Red P, the highest-polled Handout P daughter in Germany, was sold for €16,000. She is a descendant of the legendary brood cow Ralma Juror Faith EX-91. The average price of all sold calves reached an impressive €12,410.
