Madelijn v/h Zomerbloemhof RDC fastest 100,000kgM producer in Flanders
Madelijn v/h Zomerbloemhof
In just 1,839 days, the 7.5-year-old Apoll P daughter from the Lahousse family achieved an impressive milestone of 100,000 kgM in lifetime milk production. This achievement surpasses that of previous dairy cows from the v/h Zomerbloemhof herd, which has produced several fastest hundred-ton cows in the past.
In 2021, Loli v/h Zomerbloemhof, sired by Goli, reached the 100,000 kgM mark in a record time of 1933 days, holding the title of the fastest hundred-ton cow in Flanders for more than three years. Another notable cow, Love v/h Zomerbloemhof (by Kingboy), is also among the top three fastest hundred-ton cows. Last summer, she achieved a production of 100,000 kgM in 1937 days.
By the end of 2024, the highly productive Madelijn, classified as VG-88, surpassed both Loli and Love with a lifetime production of 101,782 kgM after having calved six times. She is the first daughter of Schreur Apoll P to exceed this mark in both Flanders and the Netherlands. In her first lactation, she achieved an impressive 305-day production of 13,324 kgM.
Madelijn VG-88 is a direct descendant of Regancrest S Chassity EX-92, the dam of the conformation bull Gold Chip, making her part of the renowned Regancrest-PR Barbie EX-92 cow family. She is the 45th hundred-tonner on the Lahousse family's farm so far.
