Awesome results at Aalshorst Holsteins!

Aalshorst Holsteins recently had a classification day where over 20 dairy cows were evaluated and got some impressive scores.

The first calvers did really well, averaging 83.6 points, thanks largely to the homebred Geertje cow family. The standout was Aalshorst Geertje 346 P Red, a VG-86 daughter of Launch PP-Red. She was one of six full sisters out of Aalshorst Geertje 313 Red VG-88, which is sired by Abundant P RDC. Together, those sisters averaged 84.2 points! Among them, Aalshorst Geertje 349 P Red VG-85 is the highest-tested NVI and is the dam of Aalshorst Geertje 380 P Red (sired by Patton P-Red), who is currently the second highest genomic tested gNVI polled heifer in Europe, scoring 415 gNVI!

Aalshorst 3STAR SK Konzert 9 Red (Ginger Red x Swingman Red) stole the show as the top 2-yr-old with 87 points. Her udder got the highest, maximum score of VG-89! Her maternal-sister, Aalshorst 3STAR Konzert 8 P Red, also did well, scoring VG-86 with VG-88 MS. Their mom, Aalshorst 3STAR Konzert 1 Red GP-83, is a key-cow for Aalshorst and GenHotel. She’s the dam of the bulls Aalshorst 3STAR Sandor P Red and his full brother Aalshorst 3STAR Skipper P Red. This lineage comes from Wilder Kanu VG-88, as her name may already sugges.

Aalshorst 3STAR Zalia 6 RDC is a first-calver Nominator-Red from the Veenhuizer Zadia family. She was awarded with a maximum score of VG-89 for her frame and a total score of VG-86. Zalia 6 is a direct descendant of Aalshorst K&L Zalia 1 RDC VG-89, sired by Barolo.

A Bouw Goli Flower VG-87 decendant named Aalshorst Goli Flower 7 (sired by Kenmore Triple Crown-Red), boasts a score of VG-86. This makes her the 9th generation to receive a high score from the Ralma Juror Faith EX-91 cow family!
