2-Yr-old KAX Gladius achieves record production of >62 kgsM a day!

This is a significant achievement at Poppe Holsteins, where the first lactation 3STAR Poppe Gazelle, co-owned by GenHotel, is being milked. The pitch-black KAX Gladius daughter calved in December 2023 and, after a strong start this spring, she reached a daily production of over 62 kgsM in May!
The Poppe family's dedication to milking is evident as their herd has been on the list of Dutch top milking herds for a many years. However, it is exceptional for a young dairy heifer to achieve such a daily production, even for this herd.
3STAR Poppe Gazelle is the result of the mating Gladius x Poppe K&L Gorgina (by Durable). Gorgina, already proven to be of great influence in her first years of life, has produced AI bulls such as 3STAR Poppe Gigantic (full brother Gazelle), 3STAR Poppe Manitu, and Poppe 3STAR Magic Bull. Via her dam, we end up with a cow of equally high influence, namely granddam KHE I'm Good VG-88, the dam of two bulls at the VOST.
Gazelle classified GP-84 (VG-88 DS), is currently projected at 15,518 kgsM (23% above herd average, 15 SCS), making her the third generation in a row to achieve a 305-days production of 12,000 kgsM or more in first lactation!
