3STAR Alicia Red GP-84, VG-MS (s. Watson RDC)
A classification day in which 14 females, resulting from the 3STAR Breeding/Embryo Program, were classified, has brought great results for 3STAR and its breeding partners. The classified females come from different cow families that have left their mark within the (Red) Holstein population. Here are some of the highlights!
Highest score was for the fourth calver K&L SK Konzert Red. As a 2-yr-old, the Silky-Red daughter was already good for VG-88. She is a granddaughter of the well-known brood cow Wilder K25 Red EX-90 and produced several interesting offspring based on RZG matings. Her Rr Percey-Red son 3STAR PC Prima Red even sold to a Polish AI station MCB. In May, the beautiful Silky Red calved for the fourth time and is projected at 9789 kgsM with 4.73% fat and 3.52% protein. Re-classification made a fantastic upgrade to VG-89!
Konzert Red her daughter sired by GGA Palmer, namely 3STAR PM Konzert RDC, also received a first classification score and was awarded with VG-85 points.

K&L SK Konzert Red VG-89 (s. Silky-Red)
K&L RM Sarina P Red (by Delta Jim P-Red), co-owned with Ritmaster Holsteins, managed to upgrade her score. Sarina P Red's dam was purchased as an embryo and used extensively for the 3STAR Breeding Program. The mating with the former sire of sons Lesperron Santorius RDC brought no less than two interesting sons that were sold to AIs, namely K&L RM Barone Rosso @Inseme and K&L RM Santorin Red @Qnetics. Sarina P Red was one of the most interesting female offspring, partly due to the fact she's polled and shows high indexes. The great producing Sarina P Red is projected at 16,747 kgsM in her third lactation and peaked at 67 kgsM/day. Sarina moved up to VG-88 and scored EX-91 for her amazing Mammary. In six generations she traces back to the well-known Canadian Goldwyn daughter Gen-I-Beq Goldwyn Secret RC VG-87.
K&L RM Sarina P Red VG-88 (s. Jim P-Red)
The recently photographed 3STAR Visstein Adola Red (owned by Visstein and GenHotel) provided the highlight of the day with her score of VG-87 as a 2-yr-old. The Rubels-Red daughter from the well-known brood cow Visstein K&L SV Aderina Red VG-89 was, like her fabulous dam, of great influence for the EmbryoProgram. The fancy Adola Red is with her classificiation score the 12th generation VG/EX in a row from the KHW Super Aderyn RC EX-90 / Kamps-Hollow Durham Altitude RDC EX-95 family. Her son HLB 3STAR Rio-Red (s. AltaRefine Red) will be released at the German AI-stud VOST (read more).
3STAR Visstein Adola Red VG-87 (s. Rubels-Red)
Two red daughters from brood cow Batouwe Ailisha Salva Red VG-85 (owned by BWN Holsteins & GenHotel) were also scored for the first time. Salva Red VG-86 has produced many great offspring and has been intensively flushed as a 1-yr-old heifer. One of her Rubels-Red sons, 3STAR OH Redback Red, is at RSH in Germany. Salva Red's daughter 3STAR Alicia Red, a first calver by Progenesis Watson RDC, received GP-84 (VG-85 MS) and Westcoast Swingman Red daughter 3STAR SW Ailine Red was classified VG-89 MS and good for a total of VG-86 points. Ailine Red calved for the second time in May.
Dam: Batouwe Ailisha Salva Red VG-85
The first daughters of the popular bull K&L Sputnik RDC came in production and look very promising. As a 3STAR breeding product, Sputnik RDC (Spark Red x Finder) was also widely used for the 3STAR Breeding Program. One of the interesting females is 3STAR OH Shiny RDC, a daughter of bull dam K&L OH Shiner Red (s. Rubels-Red). The 1.11-year-old Sputnik RDC daughter classified VG-88 MS and VG-86 overall! On a R&W basis, Shiny RDC tests high and also her polled daughter 3STAR OH Sugar P Red (by RUW Sea P Red) offers a lot of potential with 152 gRZG and 308 gNVI. This line traces via K&L SV Sunny Red GP-84 back to Des-Y-Gen Planet Silk RDC EX-90, a maternal line that has produced 9 generations of bull dams in a row! For example, Shiner Red's high-scoring Star P RDC son 3STAR OH Sunstar P Red (2871 gTPI/631 gPLI) is owned by Genus/ABS.

The empire of Maybelline Tual's well-known daughter K&L OH Mabel has now expanded further. Daughters, granddaughters, great-granddaughters and now also Mabel's great-great-granddaughters are ranking high in various genomics systems and numerous granddaughters are already in lactation as well. A well-known granddaughter is 3STAR OH Maddy (152 gRZG/2889 gTPI), an AltaZazzle x Kenobi x Mabel, which freshened in May at 2.01 years and has been flushed several times too. Her production is projected at 9.180 kgM with 4.44% fat and 3.52% protein. She was scored with VG-87 MS and overall GP-84. One of her interesting daughters is 3STAR OH Maddymo (156 gRZG/31 NTM). Her sire Geronimo is a a son of K&L OH Rossi Guay from the Neblina cow family. Maddy GP-84 and daughter Maddymo are bred by De Oosterhof and GenHotel.
