Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2679 won the Junior Holstein Championship!
GenHotel members Batouwe Holsteins, Molenkamp Holsteins, VanHolland Holsteins, and Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins competed strongly and won several titles last Saturday at the annual Dairy Fair Mariënwaerdt!
The day started with the senior categories, where Malinus daughter K&L ML Harila VG-89 achieved 1st position in the Holstein class. Harila, housed at the farm of the Van Holland family, is born at this farm due to participating with the 3STAR EmbryoProgram. Harila is a descendant from Cookiecutter MOM Halo VG-88.
In the first Intermediate Holstein class, the third calver Farnear Delta-Lambda daughter Dynamic Rustic 4 EX-90, owned by Molenkamp Holsteins/Hoftijzer, took second place. She goes back to the well-known Whittier-Farms Lead Mae EX-95.

Among the 2-yr-olds, Dynamic Sochi 14, a VG-86 Tropic daughter, and Willem's-Hoeve Rita 2679 of the De Jong family (Willem's-Hoeve Holsteins) were the top competitors and were placed 2nd & 1st in their class. Rita 2679 was too strong for her competition. The jury described her as 2-y-r-old from national level. She is the granddaughter of Willem's Hoeve Rita 579 EX-91 and de jugde named her the Junior 2-yr-old Champion and the reserve title went to Dynamic Sochi 14.
The sire of the Junior Champion is Willem's-Hoeve R Viano (Gold Chip x VG-88 Icone), a home-bred natural service bull from the Rita family. After the victory in Mariënwaerdt, the 100% Willem's-Hoeve bred Rita 2679 classified a great score of VG-88 (Max. VG-89 MS) yesterday!

Dynamic Sotsji 14 VG-86 (Tropic x Monterey)
The Bakker family of Batouwe Holsteins had a strong showing in the Red Holstein competition. In the Intermediate class, their Batouwe Rager Fabiola claimed the class victory. The second lactation Ri-Val-Re Rager-Red, which scored VG-88 at the beginning of this year, is descended from KOE Fabiola-Red EX-90. In the finals, she was named the Reserve Intermediate Champion.

In the class with Red 2-yr-olds, Batouwe Holsteins also secured a leading position. Batouwe Rednex Maxyme, who had been named Best Red Young Cattle at Hornet 2024 two weeks ago, took the first position. In the finals, she competed against Swissbec Power daughter Willem's-Hoeve Redpower Rita 2 of the De Jong family, and Maxyme's herdmate Batouwe Solito Cita Red, who achieved the first and seceond places in the youngest class. Maxyme was award as the winner, adding two titles to her name in just one month!
