On Saturday, the first Bavarian All Breeds Spring Sale in Möchenau, Germany will take place. The sale will be available online, and you can also bid on the lots via FarmersBid.com. Animals from six different varieties will be auctioned, including a homozygous polled, red heifer calf from HWH Holsteins. This heifer calf is a stunning descendant of breeding cow Zani Formation Minny EX-92.
HWH Alena PP Red (lot 39) is the heifer calf being offered by the Weckesser family. She is a daughter of the bull 3STAR HWH Globed P Red and has a total index of 151 gRZG. Alena PP Red also has very high health traits (125 gRZN/122 gRZGes) and fantastic conformation (127 EUT/123 FUN/136 gRZE). She also transmits A2A2 Beta Casein and BB Kappa Casein. With her total index, she is currently the highest homozygous polled Globed P Red daughter in Germany.
Alena PP Red comes from a well-known and impressive cow family in Europe – the Italian brood cow Zani Formation Minny EX-92. This cow family has produced bulls such as Zani Bolton Mascalese, GP Atom-Red @GPlus, and Grappa @VOST. The top seller of the VOST Select Sale 7, Ananas P Red, also comes from this family. She is the full sister of granddam Auster-Red. Gywer RDC daughter Ananas was sold to CRV for € 40,000. Currently, a polled and red factor granddaughter of Ananas currently ranks in the Holstein top 100 gNVI.
