Sanderij La Massia Snowfall Red, good for GP-84
The two young breeders of the German farm Geestland Holsteins (GlH) are doing really well. Recently, a group of first-calvers got great classification scores, and they invited an international photographer to come over for a big photo shoot.
Jan-Hendrik Funck & Henrik Staack are getting amazing results by using the best genetic tested bulls available and pair them with their most favorable cow families. One of their bred bulls, GlH Redford (by Ranger-Red), was the number 1 Red sire in Germany of December 2023 and is still the current no. 3 gRZG. These guys are mainly into Red Holstein breeding, and they've not only classified four of their current favorite 2-yr-olds cows, but also share their lovely pictures with us!
Sanderij La Massia Snowfall Red GP-84, sired by Freestyle-Red, is one of the daughters of Riva's Smile 1 Red VG-86, which is housed in the Netherlands. Several embryos from the VG-86 scored Delta Jacuzzi-Red brood cow have been sold, including sveral to Funck & Staack. A mating with sire Bosside Rubel Rebel-Red resulted in the birth of Snowfall's daughter GlH Snowflake Red, with 145 gRZG. This line has produced proven bulls such as Sanderij Sodan-Red, Red Rocks Sakai-Red, Mission P RDC, Born P RDC, and Backup-Red.
GlH Ryder Be Happy Red VG-86 is one of the first lactating daughters of the Dutch-bred Koepon OH Ryder Red and received VG-87 for her mammary. Be Happy Red was tested in several countries and entered the GlH flushprogram. The flushes produced two full sisters of the bull Stereo P which both score 147 gRZG. She traces back to the Des-Y-Gen Planet Silk EX-90 cow family, which is currently one of the most prominent families on this farm and is the family of the home bred Redford too.
GlH Ryder Be Happy Red VG-86
GlH Bavaria Red VG-85 is a HIN Sorelio P Red maternal-sister of Be Happy Red. Their dam is the beautiful VG-86 Wilder Mark RDC daughter, GlH Zukunft Red. She also has excellent production. Bavaria has several male and female offspring. However, GlH Daily Red by Stereo P is the highest tested with 149 gRZG, 122 EUT, 132 FUN, and 138 RZE. The PrismaGen Gnabry RDC maternal sister of dam GlH Zukunft Red VG-86, GlH Blackpearl RDC, received VG-86 with VG-87 for mammary. The Gywer RDC son Gnabry RDC has been extensively used as a sire of sons and received his first proven index last April based on his German milking daughters.
