Again quite some top rankings in NVI lists for GenHotel members
Koepon AltaTop-Red, highest debutant in the proven Red Holstein list
The proof run of April 2023 have been concluded with the indexes from the Netherlands & Flanders. In these lists we find again numerous bulls bred by GenHotel members, including - again - quite a few top rankings in both the Red Holsteins as the Holstein lists!
Polled
In the special NVI lists which only contain the indexes of polled sires, the 289 gNVI scoring Willem's-Hoeve R Sakarun P is in 9th place of the B&W polled lists. In December we also found this Delta Launch PP-Red son from the famous Willem's-Hoeve Rita's placed quite high. Sakarun P shows extremely high components of +0.46% fat and +0.28% protein and also scores amazingly well for type with 108 EXT. A persistent top sire in the R&W ranings is Visstein K&L Money P Red bred by Visstein and GenHotel. He plussed 26 point NVI to +286 gNVI! We find the almost four-year-old son of Visstein K&L SV Aderina Red VG-89 back in 8th place in these rankings. VDR 3STAR Keane PP Red, a Mars P Red grandson of the VG-88 scored K&L SK Konzert Red, is with 282 gNVI the number 2 homozygous polled and red bull in the Netherlands and Flanders!
Young red genomics sires
The No. 1 gNVI of the April 2023 index run is a bull we haven't been able to meet before, namely the homozygous polled Delta Primetime PP-Red (Taskforce P x Abundant P RF) with 354 gNVI. This makes him the leader in both the polled list as the red genomics list! December's No. 1, Dg Dv Rammstein Red with 331 gNVI, has to make place for Primetime PP Red and drops to 7th place. De Oosterhof 3STAR Fresco Red, the Poppe Freestyle-Red son bred by De Oosterhof and GenHotel, remains in the top in both Germany and the Netherlands/Flanders. Where he is placed 5th in the German system with 158 gRZG, he scores 331 gNVI which makes him sixth based on NVI. Besides, he also shows a huge will for production with +3110 kgM. The success of this Radieuse EX-91 offspring does not end there, because with +632 INET Fresco Red remains, for the second time in a row, the number 1 on INET. Placed third based on 572 INET is the German bred CEH Spotlight Red (by Sputnik RDC). Spotlight (330 gNVI), bred by Eberhardt, is a bull that has been in the top for some time now. This index run he rose one place in the top 10 compared to December and is listed at place 8. Schuit 3STAR Marcel Red, a 325 gNVI scoring Money P Red from the top breeding THI Tasty RDC (Welcome Bolton Gina VG-86 family) also rises from 11 to 10th position. In the top 50 red genomics sires we end up finding a total of 18 bulls bred by GenHotel members!
Proven sires Red Holstein
With a 249 NVI based on only 65 milking daughters, Caudumer Solitair P Red manages to maintain his leading position in the list of daughter-proven bulls. Good news for the many young sons in the Netherlands and abroad! Competition gets the breeding product of Caudumer Holsteins from the eastern corner by the German owned bull Spark Red, which clings to the second place with 242 NVI and a big amount of milk (+2362 kgM). The no. 1 proven Red Holstein sire of America, Dg Oh Rubels-Red (by Argo RDC), also manages to maintain his position in the NVI top. As a result, he rises no less than five places in this list compared to December with an NVI of 240. The bull, jointly bred by De Oosterhof, is also the number 3 based on INET, just like in December. It is quite important that Rubels is now a great proven bull, because Rubels Red, like Solitair P Red, has been used heavily as a sire of sons and appears in numerous pedigrees. At 8th place we also meet a well-known name, namely Aalshorst Rody Red (by Ms Riverboy RF). He stays strong (+1 NVI) and with 92% reliability he is a rilaible source for good R&W cows! This bull from the Aalshorst Geertje family can already be found in the top 10 for six turns in a row now! Highest newscomer is a Koepon sire, called Koepon AltaTop-Red (by Mr Salvatore RC). Both in the Netherlands (60) and abroad, the first daughters are coming into production and they do look very promising with great udders! Koepon AltaTop-Red, full brother to the impressive Koepon Slvtr Sanne 8 Red VG-88 debuts with 189 NVI. Via dam DG HS Schreur Sanne RDC VG-87, they trace back to the well-known Des-Y-Gen Planet Silk EX-90 which seems to be doing a fantastic job in Europe.

Young Holstein genomics sires
In lead in December is, like the last two runs, Delta Encourage, a 415 gNVI scoring Bush-Bros Fragrant son. Midwolder Unlimited, Rioaveso x Magnet, also retains his fourth position and is the number 2 based on longevity with a index of +772 days. Not far behind we find a bull bred by Manders Holsteins, namely Manders Upside (355 gNVI) and is in 6th place.
Proven Holstein sires
With 388 NVI Delta Reloader by Bouw Finder is again in lead. Followed, in 2nd position, after rising one place compared to December is Capnation Benello, a VH Bube Bernell son with more than 500 miking daughters in his index. Since Benello debuted, six index runs back in August 2021, he hasn't disappeared from the NVI top 10! His granddam K&L WB Emily, scored as a 2-yr-old with VG-87, was purchased by the Captein family during the GenHotel Selection Sale more than ten years ago. From one of her Balisto daughters, Benello was eventually born. Willem's-Hoeve Woody (279 NVI) and his maternal brother by Weelder Esperanto, Willem's-Hoeve Rapper (237 NVI), have both received their first daughter proven indexes and storm into the top list in places four and fifteen. Woody owns +490 INET, which makes him the number 1 based on this index! Their dam is Willem's Hoeve Rita 1626A, a VG-86 classified Jetset from the Ritas. At the time she was already praised for her high NVI score which is further emphasized by these two amazing proved NVI sons! The Danish Tirsvad Genetics also bred a debuting top bull in the Netherlands. It concerns Tirsvad Natan (place 14) with a total breeding value of 241 NVI. Natan hails from the Neblinas and has more than 300 Dutch daughters in production. His dam is the American-bred Stantons Adagio-P. After Natan and Rapper we find a bull bred by Koepon, namely a Double W Ranger from the Esmoniques: Koepon Random. He also shows a successful first proven index run as a proven sire with 234 NVI and 113 type! Finally, Stanton's Adorable son Midwolder Martin, bred by Midwolder Farm, continues to prove himself. Again with 249 NVI and 456 INET, the son of the - now - fourth lactation Midwolder Marjon 137 VG-86 can be found at6 spot 9 in the ranking
