While many GenHotel members have their animals in their own barn, the Bakker family (Batouwe Holsteins) has been working closely with a few dairy farmers for several years. This is where the 'Batouwe' animals are housed. Meanwhile, the average total score of the 18 animals which are (co-) owned by Batouwe Holsteins is a whopping VG-86.6 with a stunning VG-87.2 for DS! The last classification day for Batouwe Holsteins was also very successful.
The highest scored heifer is Batouwe Catharina Brekan. As a Red-Holstein beauty she was rewarded with a great VG-87. The HAH Brekan Red daughter from Catharina 80 VG-89 (s. Camion) manages to keep the honor of her beautiful dams high with this score. With this classification the average of the total score of 10 red & whites is VG-87.4!

The number of black & white cows is gradually increasing. This month, in addition to Catharina Brekan VG-87, two heifers were classified. Batouwe Golddonna (s. Doorman) was rewarded with VG-86 AV, and for her beautiful dairy strength she even received a (max.) score of VG-89! Her full sister, Batouwe Golddore, was sold to a Dutch dairy farmer during the German Selection Sale in 2018. There she recently received a visit from the classifier which resulted in VG-88 and she too got a max. score of 89 points for her amazing mammary system. These Doorman daughters from NH Goldfever VG-89 are descends from TIR-AN Shottle Goldmine EX-92.

Batouwe Holsteins also breeds with the well-known Kamps-Hollow Durham Altitude RDC EX-95 family. One of the most famous at the moment is Batouwe Ailisha Salva-Red; a Mr Salvatore RDC x NRP Alisha RDC VG-86, a nice EDG Rubicon daughter. Ailisha Salva-Red is now owned by BWN Holsteins and has high offspring already. NRP Alisha RDC has a Ri-Val-Re Salsa RDC half-sister, namely Batouwe Salsa Aiko-Red VG-85. She also has a new owner, namely Excellent Genetics. A flush of Salsa Aiko Red VG-86 x Mr Salvatore RDC resulted in several high offspring, including Batouwe Aisa Salva RDC. This black heifer with the red factor received VG-86 during the classifcation. Her dairy strength and feet and legs were scored VG-88.
Batouwe Aisa Salva RDC VG-86 is a fullsister to Rhala RE Blues Red (@ AI-Total) and Batouwe Savio RDC (@ Semex).
