3STAR OH Shirly RDC
Sire ZFZ Crisalis Rf was used intensively in the 3STAR Breeding Program after a successful debut at the end of 2020 as a sire of sons. One of his most successful daughters is the Dutch born 3STAR OH Shirly RDC. She is still the number 2 of all his tested daughters, based on RZG.
Shirly RDC is the result of a flush of former number 2 gPFT sire Crisalis RF and K&L OH Shiner Red. Her dam Shiner Red (by Rubels-Red) has produced three bulls that left for different AIs: 3STAR OH Shield RC, 3STAR OH Swinger Red, and 3STAR OH Sunstar P Red. Shirly's dam, the high-producing Rubels-Red daughter, is the 10th generation bull dam in a row from the Des-Y-Gen Planet Silk RDC EX-90 cow family.
While Shirly RDC is the No. 2 Crisalis for RZG, her full sister 3STAR OH Sheila RDC holds the No. 2 position for gTPI with a score of 2817 gTPI. Sheila RDC was sold to a German breeder during the 2022 SonderKollektion.
Shirly RDC herself was flushed a few times, resulting in 11 offspring from five different bulls. Her highest-scoring offspring achieved indexes up to 2908 gTPI, 297 gNVI, and 147 gRZG. Like the no. 2 Progenesis Forward daughter for RZG: 3STAR OH Shorly RDC with red factor, A2A2 and BB. Shirly calved for the first time last December and reached a daily production of more than 40kgM. She classified GP-83 (GP-84 MS) and is still testing 146 gRZG and 2812 gTPI.
